Green audit is a valuable means for a college to determine how and where they are using the most energy or water or other resources; the college can then consider how to use, how to implement changes and make savings. It can create health consciousness and promote environmental awareness, values and ethics among the students. Kaliaganj College is always trying to keep the campus and its surrounding environment alive and fresh. Along with class room studies, our main goal is to make students as environmentally caring and environment-loving citizens. With that objective in mind, we conduct green audits every year by a certified external agency at the college campus. As a result of this audit, we use and preserve the resources of our environment in an integrated way. The members of NCC and NSS units of Kaliaganj College organizes various environmental sensitization programmes, awareness programmes, discussions, seminars, rallies etc. throughout the year to abide and implement the various policies suggested in Green Audit.
Kaliyaganj College has been putting efforts to keep its environment clean and healthy since its inception. The purpose of the present green audit is to identify, quantify, describe and prioritize framework of Environment Sustainability in compliance with the applicable regulations, policies and standards.
To document the floral and faunal diversity of the college
