This temple of higher education is situated in a sprawling land surrounded by an idyllic and verdant ambiance in the lap of a fur-flung picturesque landscape unperturbed by industrial noise and nuisance. The generations of students it delivers to society are continually boosting the prestige and power of this temple of education.
Kaliyaganj College has four big buildings like spectacular wings. The East Wing consists of Principal’s Chamber with anti-chamber, Principal’s Office, Teachers’ Common Room, NAAC Room, College Office, Bursar Office, Girls’ Common Room, Geography laboratory and a number of classrooms with separate lavatory facilities for girls and boys.
The West Wing consists of a number of classrooms, one Computer Training Center in collaboration with WEBEL, one Mathematics Laboratory, One Museum and a big spacious Multi-purpose Hall for holding Seminars, Symposia, Conferences, Workshops, Carrier Oriented Programme, Student Counselling etc. with a number of lavatories separately for Girls and Boys.
In continuation of the endeavour to make the premises naturally rich, these two wings are connected with a fascinating lawn flanked by four small flower gardens. In between them, two magnificent entrances are there. The third Annex building, known as the Science Building, is adjacent to the East Wing. It consists of Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Computer Science Laboratories, a moderate-sized auditorium for holding science seminars, conferences, special lectures, workshops etc., one large sized room on the top floor as Sky Observatory and two classrooms on each floor for organizing theoretical classes. Each floor has separate wash rooms for girls and boys. The Central Library of Kaliyaganj College is annexed to this Science Building. The library has a paradise like sprawling Portico with a sculpture of our great educator and social reformer, Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar.
The fourth annex building, which is adjacent to the West Wing, consists of one well-equipped air-conditioned Rabindra Bhavan Auditorium having a stage with remote controlled drop screen, a modern sound system and 172 seating capacity, one modern Gymnasium, Departmental Cubicles, Green Room, Guest Room etc.
Besides these four buildings, the college has one well furnished Canteen Building for students and staff. The Canteen is located just opposite to the Rabindra Bhavan Auditoium. In addition to this, the college has two hostels, one for girls and one for boys, a big playground and a pond within the campus. The college is surrounded by its own boundary wall which protects our 12.31 acres of land.
The vision of this institution is to provide a character-making, life-building and man-making education to the students. The college tries to educate students according to their needs, focusing on their physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual development.

Kaliyaganj College has a perspective and strategic plan for holistic development of the institution. The plan focuses on the new challenges and contemporary trends in higher education that, when embraced, can lead to improved performance. It evaluates stakeholders' expectations, as well as students', faculty members', employers', and locals' demands.
The college has designed its perspective plan for the all round development of the institution and categorized it into the following sections:

(i) To implement the latest Gour Banga University curriculum and supplement it with college organized value added, certificate courses.
(ii) To contribute actively to the revision and development of the curriculum by participating in committees instituted by the university.
(iii) To keep updating teaching, learning and evaluation to the latest, and to make it more efficient and meaningful.
(iv) To encourage teachers and students to use ICT tools like LMS, Online Meeting platforms, etc.
(v) To emphasize organizing seminars, conferences, workshops, etc.
(vi) To emphasize remedial classes for slow learners.
(vii) To keep a birds-eye on students through Mentor-Mentee programmes.
(i) To encourage teachers to actively engage in academic activities like research and publication.
(ii) To introduce certificate, value-added courses for students.
(iii) To introduce Skill Development Programmes for non-teaching staff.
(iv) To introduce soft skill development programmes for students.
(v) To conduct community development programmes and other extension activities involving students to inculcate a sense of social responsibility among them.
