Kaliyaganj College is always striving, awake and committed to provide a ragging-free learning environment to the students. As per the guidelines of the UGC, Kaliyaganj College established the Anti Ragging Committee to eradicate social and mental disorders like ragging from the minds of the students. The task of this committee is to make students aware of ragging and to take appropriate action immediately after receiving any complaint of ragging. The committee, consisting of representatives of faculty members, parents, students and non-teaching staff and is headed by the Principal. As per the directions of the Honourable Supreme Court of India and the orders of various authorities, ragging in any form inside and outside the campus is being dealt with, seriously. The committee functioning in the college take all necessary steps to spread the message that ragging is a non-bailable criminal offence and any type of behaviour like gestures, talk or action hurting the self esteem of the person will come under the purview of ragging. The campus offers zero tolerance to ragging such that any reported incident of ragging will lead to the expulsion of the accused from the college and the case will be handed over to the police with immediate effect. If someone is found to be guilty of committing ragging will be banned from undergoing education as per rules.
