Kaliyaganj College Library

The central library of the Kaliyaganj College is attached to the science building. The library is well decorated, automated and Wi-Fi enabled with seating capacity for about 120 readers. The library is open to students and staffs from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on all working days. Kaliyaganj College Library provides open-access facilities to its students and staffs. The library has a collection of approximately 25,000 books. Books are classified by using DDC23 classification schedule and catalogued by using AACR2 cataloguing schedule. The Library is fully automated. Koha, a library automation software, is in use for creating the Library database.

The Library subscribes to over five journals, ten magazines of national and international repute. All prominent national dailies are also subscribed in the library. The library has N-LIST subscription from where the user can get free access of all the e-journals, e-books etc. under N-LIST package.

In addition to the Central Library, departments of Physics and Chemistry have a small library in their respective departments from where students can access books. These libraries are being totally controlled by the department concerned.

The Kaliyaganj College also houses a small Unit decorated with Braille books and audio books for Blind and dumb students.

Photocopying facility is available in the library against nominal charges.
